Gregory Beams 2017
Gregory Beams grew up around photography and photographs. His father taught photography at the High School level and was a commercial photographer for a number of years. Eventually Greg found the camera as his creative outlet and in 2016 graduated from the Academy of Art University with a Master of Fine Art degree in photography.
Gregory uses his photography to explore the increasing social isolation that urban American's experience as we move through this constantly accelerating digital age. He is drawn to urban environments that offer a sense of familiarity but imply an emotional isolation while being surrounded by the physical presence of other individuals.

Sutter Gallery
October - November 2016; Sutter Gallery, San Francisco
Gregory's most recent series, Technology's Promises, was on display at the Sutter Street gallery in San Francisco during the months of October and November. The exhibition was Gregory's first solo exhibition in San Francisco and was well received by the educational and artistic community there.
Blink UX Corporate Gallery
January - May 2016; Blink UX Corporate Gallery, Seattle
This was Gregory's first solo exhibition, held in Seattle and highlighting his latest series of images entitled, Technology's Promises. The exhibition ran for a number of months and was well received, including over 200 attendees at the exhibition opening, where Gregory talked about the work and his goals as an artist.
